Leadership and Innovation: Lessons from Renault's CEO

Published on May 24, 2026

Today I had the opportunity to attend a talk by Pablo Sibilla, CEO of Renault Argentina, on business strategies, at the Universidad de San Andrés.

Four ideas stuck with me:

Adapting to change is not optional. The companies that survive are not the biggest, but the most flexible. Being prepared for ambiguity is not a competitive advantage, it's a minimum condition to stay in the game.

AI is not here to replace people, but to empower them. It won't eliminate jobs, but make them more efficient.

Innovation is a mindset. Digital transformation requires bold decisions and a culture willing to experiment.

Leadership starts with people. Sibilla emphasized the importance of strengthening teams. Extraordinary organizations are built from within.

I left with the feeling that, in business as in life, success is not a destination, it's a way of moving forward. As Sibilla put it: "The future, without a doubt, is with people."
